Here is a bit of background about me and my journey.

I was born and raised in California and graduated from California State University in Sacramento with a Business Degree. I immediately went to work in the insurance industry and after almost 40 years, I still love what I do - I help people; I help them plan for and recover from the unexpected.

I moved to Spokane during a catastrophic ice storm in 1996 to start my agency. A day I’ll never forget. Having never lived in Spokane, I arrived to find my new office, apartment and most of Spokane without electricity or any working landline. So to say I was introduced to Spokane very FAST is an understatement.

I have 2 beautiful and successful children ages 34 and 39. I am proud to say my son, Drew Clausen is also a State Farm agent in Spokane Valley. Both of my children were gifted athletes who played professional sports overseas after graduating from their respective colleges. So the "gift of travel" opportunities was given to our family and remains a priority for all of us. Along with my kids, my grandchildren, ages 10, 6 and 9 months; are most certainly the greatest gifts of my life.

I am a 24-year cancer survivor (Sarcoma). My survival was a miracle. Over the course of a year, I had 400 hours of chemotherapy, 3 surgeries and 48 straight days of radiation treatments. I do not take one minute of life for granted. Becoming uninsurable as a single parent at age 42 made me understand that every parent should have life insurance to INSURE their kids' future. I speak from experience; no-one should ever take for granted there will be a tomorrow to get things in place.... in case. Everyone's health will change, it is just a matter of time. I make helping people with their Life Insurance needs a personal mission.

Our team combined has over 45 years of experience and I personally have over 10 years of claims experience which sets me apart from other agents. My responsibility to you is to be here for you to make LIFE GO RIGHT: in the good times and in the not so good times, I will be there.
